Gentle Healing for Suvivors of Domestic Violence

What Is Domestic Violence?

Domestic violence is "the inflicting of physical injury by one family or household member on another.  Also, a repeated or habitual pattern of such behavior" per Merriam-Webster.  It seems so particularly difficult to reduce something as horrendous to a couple's relationship and family to just a sentence.

The pain and long-lasting effects of domestic violence on both the survivor and the family as a whole are almost indescriblable to someone who has not lived it, and must be addressed (particularly if children are involved) in order to reach a true place of healing.
