Gentle Healing for Body Trauma

What Is Body Trauma?

Body trauma refers to the stress and after-effects of trauma on the body.  Body trauma can related to surgery, an accident or injury, etc., but in the context of our subject here on this site, we are speaking of body trauma relating to the physical pain, injuries, and stress that your body endured both during and after the event.  For many women who have suffered sexual assault in a single event or long-term abuse, body trauma is centered around the genitals and mouth.

Recogition by health and healing professionals (OB/GYNs, dentists, internist, physical therapists, massage therapists, midwives, doulas, etc.) that they are in a pivotal position to help trauma survivors, has resulted in improved training and greater benefit for you as a client.
